Ruling on One who Performs the Marriage Ceremony of a Shia
Ruling on One who Performs the Marriage Ceremony of a Shia
Question: What do the scholars and muftis of Shariah say about the following issue: What is the ruling on a person who performs the marriage ceremony of a Shia? Does he remain a Muslim or not? Will his own marriage become invalid? Please provide a detailed answer based on the Quran, Hadith, and Fiqah-e-Hanafi, especially for those who claim that there is no harm in doing so.
Answer: If the person who performed the marriage ceremony knew about the Shia's blasphemous beliefs and still considered it permissible, then he must repent and renew his own marriage. Otherwise, it is not necessary.
