The ruling on the one who leads the funeral of a Rafidi despite knowing it
The ruling on the one who leads the funeral of a Rafidi despite knowing it:
Question: What do religious scholars and Muftis of Shariah say about the following issue: If a Sunni Imam of sound faith leads the funeral prayer of a Rafidi even though he knows that the deceased is a Shia, what is the Sharia ruling regarding such an Imam?
Will this remain within the scope of Islam or not?
Also, what is the Sharia ruling on his marriage?
If an ordinary Sunni intentionally, that is, knowing that the deceased is a Rafidi Shia, still leads the funeral of such a person, what is the ruling of the Holy Sharia regarding such a person?
Similarly, what is the ruling of a person who attended someone's funeral with the intention of reward and after offering the funeral prayer, it was found out that the deceased was a Shia?
Answer: If the deceased denies the essentials of Islam and holds blasphemous beliefs, for example: believes in the distortion of the Quran, believes in the divinity of Sayyidna Ali (R.A), or slanders Sayyida Aisha Siddiqah (R.A), or denies the companionship of Sayyidna Siddiq Akbar (R.A), etc., then such a person is an infidel, an apostate, and outside of Islam. Despite knowing these blasphemous beliefs, anyone who considers him a Muslim and considers it permissible to pray for his funeral is outside the realm of Islam, and for this, renewal of faith and renewal of marriage are necessary. And one who prays for his funeral merely out of tolerance or due to ignorance of his beliefs will remain a Muslim, but he should repent and seek forgiveness. It should be noted that even if one prays for his funeral while considering it unlawful, it is not enough; he is certainly a sinner.
