Ruling on the Agha Khani Sect Being Infidels and Marrying Them
Ruling on the Agha Khani Sect Being Infidels and Marrying Them:
Question: A person belonging to the Ismaili Agha Khani sect married a Sunni Hanafi girl, and they had three children together. Now, the mentioned wife has heard that her marriage to him is not valid, so she has refused to go to the Agha Khani. The question is whether her marriage to this man is correct or not?
Answer: This sect denies the essential requirements of religion and the definitive issues of Islam, and such clear issues are considered acts of disbelief for which there is no room for interpretation. Therefore, these people are undoubtedly disbelievers, and as a result, their marriage is invalid. The custody of the children will be entrusted to the mother, and separation between the two is necessary.
