The reality of the 22nd day of Rajab, and the command to avoid it
The reality of the 22nd day of Rajab, and the command to avoid it:
Question: What do Muftis Of sharia Mateen say about the issue of what is the ruling on the ritual of performing Kondays on 22 Rajab? And what is its origin in Sharia?
Answer: The popular ritual of Kondays was invented by the enemies of the Companions (رضی اللہ عنہ), to express their joy on the death of Sayidna Amir Muawiya (رضی اللہ عنہ) 22 Rajab has nothing to do with Sayidna Jafar Sadiq (رحمہ اللہ), neither was born nor died on it, Sayidna Jafar Sadiq (رحمہ اللہ) was born on 8 Ramadan 80 or 83 Hijri and died in Shawwal 148 Hijri.
This proves that this ritual is attributed to Sayidna Jafar Sadiq (رحمہ اللہ) just to cover it up. In fact, this event is celebrated in the joy of Sayidna Ameer Muawiyah (رضی اللہ عنہ). At the time when this ritual was invented, the Shias were overwhelmed and afraid of the Muslims, so it was arranged that the sweets should not be distributed publicly so that the secret would be revealed. Rather, the enemy of Sayidna Ameer Muawiyah (رضی اللہ عنہ) should quietly go to each other's house and eat this sweet in the place where it has been kept. Show your happiness to each other. When it was discussed, it was attributed to Sayidna Jafar Sadiq (رحمہ اللہ) and he was accused of saying that he himself had ordered the reading of Fatiha on this date. Although this is all a fabrication, it is necessary for Muslims not to perform their ritual, but to try to protect others from it by making them aware of its reality.
