Ruling On Participating or leading the Shia's Deceased's Funeral:
Question: What do Islamic scholars and muftis of Shariah say about the below mentioned situation,
A Sunni Imam leads the funeral prayer of a Shia even after knowing their beliefs and idiologies, However there was also a Sunni follower behind the Imam who did not know about any of the disbelief of Shia neither he knows that a person's Nikaah got invalid after involving in a Shia's funeral. What is the ruling on regarding faith and marriage contract of both the Imam and the follower?
Answer: According to the given condition if the Imam Know that the deceased have such disbelief and even after knowing he leads his funeral prayer so it is mandatory for him to renew his faith and marriage contract as well, and if he leads the funeral prayer by taking it as unlawful and leads merely due to his greed or rituals then, then as he obey Haram he had to repent and seek forgiveness, And the follower who does not know about the belief and ideologies of Shia then he had to repent and seek forgiveness but there is no need of renewal of faith or marriage contract.
فنقول لا يصلى على الكافر.. لان الصلوة على الميت دعاء واستغفار له والاستغفار للكافر حرام:

و منها ان استحلال المعصية صغيرة كانت او كبيرة كفر:
(Sharh-r-Fiqh Al-Akbar: Page: 152),
و شرطها ستة (اسلام الميت وطهارته ) وفى الشامى قوله و شرطها ای شرط صحتها:
(Al-Durr Al-Mukhtar Ma'a Radd Al-Muhtar: Volume: 1, Page: 640),
