What should be done with the property of an abandoned Shia woman
Question: A person stole the property of a Shia woman. She passed away. She kept this jewellery with the idea that she would use it to build an Imam bargah or spend it on some religious work. The deceased did not even leave any heirs. After the death of that women, thief wants to retire from this property, what is the rule?
Answer: If the woman has no immediate or distance heirs, then that cash should be given as sadaqah to the poor, can also be given to deserving students, widows, orphans, disabled people. Don't spend on construction of mosques, Madrasah, roads, etc., or in someone's salary.
