Nikah becomes invalid if one of the spouses becomes apostate
Question: A Muslim person who is disciple to a Hindu barber and abandons Salah, fasting and other Islamic teachings. He follow Hindu rituals put sindoor in forehead worships sandalwood, sindoor, and tulsi trees like Hindus. Is his wife still in his Nikah or Nikah-e-Saani (remarriage) is permissible?
Answer: Apostasy is the reason for annulment of the marriage, and the above-mentioned matters committed by the husband. Worship, etc. All these things lead to apostasy. Therefore, the marriage of the wife of the said person was annulled.
