Participating in non-Muslim's festivals and eating their food
Question: If a Muslim's relatives live in a Hindu village and the Hindus prepare special dishes like puri, kachori, etc. for their festivals like Holi or Diwali, is it permissible for us to eat their food?Answer: Participating in Hindu festivals is never permissible and requires repentance, as it's a major sin. Some Fuqah-e-Kram have even considered it akin to Kufr.
As for the food like kachori, etc. that Hindus give to Muslim visitors, it's better not to accept it. However, if it's accepted for some valid reason, it won't be considered haram.
But if a Muslim cooks food specifically for Hindu festivals in solidarity with them, it's impermissible to eat that food.
