An infidel accompanying a Muslim's funeral procession and its implications

Question: Infidels accompany Muslims to the graveyard, and similarly, Muslims accompany infidels' funeral processions. Is this permissible?

Answer: It is established that visiting a sick infidel neighbor and showing kindness to them is permissible. However, carrying the bier or accompanying it to the cremation ground is not established and should be avoided. Similarly, the reverse is also true.

It is not permissible for an infidel to accompany a Muslim funeral procession. Those accompanying a Muslim deceased are seekers of mercy, while an infidel's participation may hinder the descent of mercy, as they are deserving of curse.
