The ruling on earning a living from infidels' festivals
Question: What is the ruling on taking goods to sell at Hindu festivals? And what is the ruling on the income earned from this?
Answer: Although it is not permissible to attend infidels' festivals for buying and selling, the money earned from trade is halal, because the corruption is not in the essence of the contract, but rather external to it. Attending the festival and contributing to its popularity is prohibited, hence it is forbidden.
