Ruling on eating and drinking from non-Muslims' utensils

Question: Is it permissible for a Muslim to eat and drink from the utensils of non-Muslims and polytheists?

Answer: The utensils of non-Muslims should be washed thoroughly before use. It is makruh (disliked) to eat and drink from such utensils without washing them first. However, if someone eats and drinks from them without washing, it is considered permissible with karahah (dislike), and the person will not be considered among those who eat haram. This is on the condition that one is not aware of the impurity of the utensils. If one is aware of the impurity, it is not permissible to eat and drink from them before washing.
