Ruling on giving the hide of a sacrificial animal to a non-Muslim

Question: If the hide of a sacrificial animal is given to a poor non-Muslim, will the obligation be fulfilled?

Answer: There is a difference of opinion on this matter. Therefore, the precautionary approach is to not give the hide of a sacrificial animal to a non-Muslim.
