إن منكم لمن يقاتل على تأويل القرآن كما قاتلت على تنزيله
Some of you will fight over the Qur’an’s interpretation just as you fought upon its revelation.
This narration is extremely da’if. Hafiz Ibn Hajar al ‘Asqalani mentioned, “There is scepticism in it.”[1]
Al Kudaymi Muhammad ibn Yunus
- He is accused of fabricating hadith as al Daraqutni asserts.
- Al Daraqutni reports that Ahmed ibn Hambal would forbid going to al Kudaymi and say, “He is a kadha”
- Similarly, al Daraqutni reported from Abu Bakr Ahmed ibn al Wathiq al Hashimi, “I will make him i.e. al Kudaymi kneel before Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala on the Day of Qiyamah and submit, ‘Certainly, this man would lie against Your Messenger and the ‘ulama’.”[2]
Al Hakim reported it[3] and declared it sahih in accordance to the standards of al Bukhari and Muslim. Al Dhahabi concurred with him. This is one of their blunders.
Ubaidullah ibn Musa
- Al ‘Ijli says, “He had Shia inclinations.”[4]
- Abu Dawood says, “I heard Ahmed ibn Hambal saying, ‘Every problem comes from ‘Ubaidullah ibn Musa.’”[5]
- In fact, it is established that he is guilty of mixing narrations and narrating evil narrations as stated by Ya’qub ibn Sufya He adds, “A Shia. If anyone says that he is rafidi, I will not reject him. He is munkar al hadith.”[6]
The hadith does not contain anything which supports the Rawafid’s doctrines of Sayyidina ‘Ali’s radiya Llahu ‘anhu infallibility and his right of Imamah before Sayyidina Abu Bakr and Sayyidina ‘Umar radiya Llahu ‘anhuma.
